This past month saw the successful completion of the 2020 Aspire show home in McLean, Virginia. The show home is one of seven around the country created from scratch by Aspire Design and Home Magazine, to connect design professionals with the local community. This year 28 designers and architects helped create the McLean home, each allowed to express their artistic vision across 29 spaces and 9,600 square feet of property.
The Home allowed the community to see the latest trends in design as well as showcase the hard work of local designers and vendors who contributed their time and skills to pull the home together. This year included both in-person and virtual tours, with COVID-19 protection at the forefront of everyone’s mind. Ticket revenue went to a charity created by Aspire to benefit underprivileged design students at Marymount University.
The team at J Brooks Designer Floors was honored to donate our skills to contribute custom woven area carpets for Show House Design Chair, our good friend Mary Douglas Drysdale.
It is always a pleasure supporting our design partners, particularly for opportunities that showcase the trade and benefits the community! Find out more about the talents contributors at the Show Home site here.
